This Wednesday, Im loving one thing...my new job.
one month old!
Ever since we found out I was pregnant (and before) we knew that I would stay home with our babies. It is, without a doubt, the best decision for our sweet little family, the best job I've ever had. Overall, we just feel blessed. And very very tired. I get by with a lot of this
and just a littttttttttle bit of this
Miller turns 2 months today! I can't believe it has flown by. When your days and nights run together in 2 hour shifts between feedings, it's amazing how fast the time goes. I wanted to take some time to document what life is like month to month since I know it won't be like this for too much longer. We have already moved out of the newborn clothes and it makes this momma super sad. ( hello hormones).
At his checkup yesterday he was weighing in at 10.8 lbs and 23.75 inches tall. You are one tall and lean baby! You are now eating every 2-3 hours and getting one bottle at night from Daddy.
(milk drunk baby is the best)
Sleeping is a work in progress. Now, on a good night, you will sleep from 10pm until 3am and then from about 4am until 7/8am. Most nights we are up one additional time depending on your mood. We are starting to get a schedule during the day and you normally nap after your 10 am feeding until 12/1pm and then in the afternoon from 3ish until 5. If we put you in your car seat or stroller we can forget about you staying awake, they both instantly put you to sleep most days. Momma is thankful for that when we are running errands and hitting the grocery store. Luckily, I haven't been THAT mom yet, with the screaming baby in tow. One day my friends, one day. We did go out to our first restaurant with baby in tow and it was a dream. We enjoyed a long brunch and you blissfully slept the entire time. We try to go on a long walk daily and it does us both a world of good to get some Vitamin D.
you like to smile and "talk" a lot now...its too much fun!
You love to lounge in your boppy and have found your thumb. I'm undecided about this but I'm not going to lie, it's adorable. You still love to lounge in the Mamaroo as well with your Wubanub. Any place we can put you where you can look around at the world is the place you want to be. Especially, daddy's "magic shoulder" as we call it. Without a doubt, riding around propped up on his left shoulder looking out is your favorite place to be! You are also a HUGE fan of ceiling fans. It's hysterical, you will stare at them forever.
Even though there are days, I have to nap when you nap, don't change out of my pajamas and have to be hopped up on a borderline unsafe amount of caffeine, I wouldn't change a single minute of it.
Luckily, the weather is beautiful today so a walk to the neighborhood Starbucks is just what we need!
