Top 2 Tuesday!

Top 2 Fav Celebrity Hairstyles

{1}
Reese Witherspoon. Specifically Reese in "Legally Blonde". That movie, at some point, defined my life. I love love LOVE that movie. It never gets old.. My one claim to fame is that I had her hair colorist do my blonde once. It. Was. Awesome. It was one of those surreal NYC moments and best part was...it was compliments of my boss, who called and got me right in.
Her hair is so bouncy, shiny and fabulous. So is she for that matter.

other adorable Reese styles....

If I was going to cut my hair short, I would absolutely rock the "Cameron Diaz" from the Holiday. One of my poor besties Kate... I interrupt her at least once a week on gchat to discuss whether or not I should cut my hair and if in fact, I should go for the "Cameron". She always says I should, but I won't, and she's right. Maybe when I'm chasing around some bambinos and don't have time to spray 37 volumizing products in my hair to get 1/2 an inch of lift. That's another sad, sad story.

I would also LOVE this outfit. Thanks.

Soooo there ya have it :) What hairstyles are you loving??

Top 2 Tuesday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend/start to the week!
Mine was SUPER lazy and SUPER relaxing. On Friday, J got caught up at the office so David and Chuck headed to Vegas without him to avoid traffic. As soon as he could get off work, I took him to the airport and he hopped a plane to meet them in Vegas. They got home last night, all survived, and as far as I can tell, we aren't broke. Amen.

Even though I missed him dearly, I had such a great weekend solo. The weather was crappy so I took advantage of the SATC marathon on Saturday among other things.  I ordered my fav pizza from Ginas,  ordered 2 girly movies on demand, and poured a few glasses of wine. It. was. heaven. I had a total Kevin from Home Alone moment, " Mmmmmm, A whole cheese pizza, juuuuuust for me". I debated heading to various JL things but really just wanted alone time. It was EXACTLY what this chick needed.

yep, thats what I looked like alllll weekend.

Now onto my favorite Top 2 Tuesday Topic.......

Top 2 fav rooms...oh lawwwwwwd I love this topic. I have seriously become obsessed with home decor. It changes from day to day but I'm going to show you one of  my  fav houses! I can not for the life of me remember where I found it. I would obviously "merchandise it up" with some personal things since it needs a little warmth, a splash of color ( maybe just a drop) and a few extra pieces of furniture but over all it is TO. DIE. FOR. In no particular order.....

In desperate need of some bottles

dark wood, light walls. my dream team.

so many gorgeous windows and french doors

needs some more furniture but I LOVE the wall paneling, and did you see those arches?

hidden tv and wet bars, open to the kitchen

2 islands  AND a farm table with ghost chairs...swoon

annnnnnd again because its that gorg.

Mediterranean houses are some of my favs...

Who wouldn't want 30 foot ceilings in there master bath?

This room needs some tweaking but the headboard makes me skip a little. just a little.

You have to have somewhere to sit and drink all that vino that you have in the cellar right?

coughperfectcough

So open and light!

Ok sooooo theres my top 2. ( or 18)

welllll...maybe a few more because I'm truly obsessed.

Somethings Gotta give. I mean really that house needs a post of its own.

Just in case. Impractical you say? I'll buy stock in bleach, just you wait

just so my pink loving girl friends would come visit!

Ok for real, thats it!  I saw this quote on Nastasha's blog and it juuuust might be one of my all time favorites.

Happy Tuesday everyone!!

holy blog break batman

Wowsers! I don't even know what to say. If I had been able to stay awake past 8 PM any of the last 12 or so nights I promise I would have blogged or at least caught up on some of my fav blog reading! As much as I'm learning from my job, I am a one gal show sometimes. This means that most days I can barely catch my breath switching btw my computer screens, designing and talking to people. Things are settling down and I finally am back to blogging regularly. Hopefully. Definitely. Maybe.
What better way to break into the blogging world again then with a WILW?

I'm LOVING the yellow tulips J brought me from Trader Joe's. He knows if there aren't white options, go for yellow. Gotta love him

I'm LOVING that we are entertaining the idea of going to Paris the week between Christmas and New Years. It would be cold but oh so fabulous. Plus. I could throw in some work while I'm there right?

I am LOVING LOVING the vino happy hour I had with some of my gal pals Monday. Yes, Monday. It was that kind of start to the week. We keep an email chain going through the days and it was a whole lotta, " I need this. When are we going" " Amen" emails. We sat outside, next to the fire at a restaurant across from my house. All the stress melted away. I love that.

I'm LOVING that two of the groomsmen from our wedding, and good friends of J and I, are here in Cali. They will all be trekking to Sin City this weekend for some boys time. It makes me so happy that J gets some time away with his man friends. The boy works so hard and deserves a break.

I am LOVING our new beach chairs we got this weekend. They can be worn like a back pack, have a cooler and head rest built in. See the cup holder with the DC? Heaven. Since we walk to the beach it makes it super easy to tote our stuff.

I'm LOVING my new ruffle cardigan I scored from Ross last Friday. I walked across the street from my office to check it out and my pay check was outta there! I kid, but I did score lots and lots of great stuff. I never have any luck at Ross but I think I found the mothership of all stores. Coincidence? I think not.

I'm LOVING that I've found my perfect summer nail combo. Weird I know, but I'm never without nail polish  these days so this was a big deal.  I don't wear pink unless it's almost white so I needed something neutral/dark that I could rock all the time.

Toes Essie Wicked.

Nails, Essie Sand Tropez

haha I know you all were dying to know. Such an exciting combo.

And lastly, I'm loving this song that reminds me of my sweet husband.

Hope everyone has a fabulous Wednesday!!!!
xoxo

T2T

Good Morning! It;s Tuesday and that means another Top 2 Tuesday with Taylor. Head on over and link up. You should have seen my husbands face when I told him the topic today. Let's just say I have reformed my ways with the almighty dollar.  Speaking of the dollar, I've gotta bust a move to work. Plus Sandra Lee is making a cocktail with tofu? Time to post and run.

Top 2 Things You've Learned About Money

{1}
" Who do you think I work for, the power company"...
is what my grandad would say as he followed me and my cousins around their house turning off lights behind us. He would  only ever get coffee from McDonalds because he could get the senior citizen cup for 49 cents. They never ever put anything on a credit card. They saved. Do you know what they did spend all their money on? Family, grandkids, buying a beach house for us all to enjoy. etc. They were able to be so generous because they saved where they could, saved for what they wanted and knew what was important. As silly as I thought my grandaddy was for making a fuss over all the lights being on, I certainly forgot all about it when I was building sandcastles at the beach in the summer.

{2}
"20 dollars is actually 20 dollars and just because its 20 dollars doesn't mean I have to buy it"
This was a lesson I finally learned after many years of carefree spending. I had a monthly deposit in my account, a credit card or 2, the bills got paid, my townhouse was free and the living was easy. Let's just say there was a time when I took advantage of my parents generosity. It's not a time I'm proud of I'll admit.  In college eating out all the time, new outfits,  20, 50, 100 dollars at Target? Well, that adds up my friends.  But I never had to worry about it so I just kept spending.  Something that I would justify buying because it was JUST 20 bucks wouldn't register as something BEING 20 bucks if that makes sense? It took some time for me to " grow out" of this as I say. Paying attention to what I'm spending, being accountable for my bills, owning up to what I'm doing with my money. You wouldn't recognize me in Target these days.

Have a great Wednesday everyone!
